Ready for the Revolution?
Ready for the Revolution?
Now I'm not a big fan of professional wrestling or all the Hollywood and Television celebrities infesting our political system (Donald Trump???), but this letter from Jessie Ventura really struck me:
But keep in mind - the next revolution will not happen all at once. It happens everyday. When a young person chooses to become a farmer in the "dead center" of Detriot, http://www.treemedia.com/treemedia.com/Urban_Roots.html, or become a teacher as a second career or a massage therapist like us bringing muscular healing and tangible positive change to others. That is when the revolution starts.
When you pay cash for everything you possibly can - not generating fees to banks. When you move your savings into a locally run bank or a credit union. When every time you say to yourself in despair...what CAN you do about all of this craziness going on in our world, and you answer it with a tangible action. You change your behavior. You show up. You work for fairness and peace.

We are never not enough
Sometimes we think we are not enough but we are never not enough...
Seth Godin says it so eloquently below...
I just read a relentlessly snarky profile of the brilliant chef Charlie Trotter. Charlie is one of the pioneers of modern cooking, a gracious host and a perfectionist as well.
The Times is disappointed that he hasn't opened chains of restaurants, made a fool of himself on reality TV or decamped to a more expensive building in Chicago. All he's done, it seems, is mentor an entire generation of chefs, consistently create amazing meals and also donate once-in-a-lifetime, multi-course dinners for rising high school students in Chicago (150 times a year).
There will always be someone telling you that you're not hip enough, famous enough, edgy enough or whatever enough. That's their agenda. What's yours?
Shun the non-believers.
